Donate
There are different ways you can support Chiltern Toy Bank.
If you have pre-loved toys that are clean, complete and in full working order you can donate them to us to re-gift to a family in need. We accept donations at a specific time in the year and this is normally October. Please look on our homepage and check out our Facebook page for more details on when we are taking donations and where you can drop them off. Unfortunately we cannot accept donations outside of our advertised donation window.
When donating us pre-loved toys please remember:
If you wouldn’t wrap it up for Christmas for your child, please don’t donate it to us!
We cannot accept the following:
Anything broken or with missing pieces.
Books with torn/missing pages.
Half used/scribbled/torn colouring books. Even if it is only one page, we can’t accept it.
Soft toys without CE labels.
Puzzles/games with missing pieces.
Opened/used toiletries/perfumes/aftershaves.
We are very lucky that some people donate us brand new toys/gifts. If you would like to do this then we would be very grateful! The sorts of items we love to receive (as we do not always get these donated second hand) are:
- Arts and crafts items, particularly for ages 10+
- Creative kits (like make your own slime or jewellery) for ages 8+
- Gifts for teenagers (boys and girls, aged 13+) like: hats, scarves, gloves, make-up, toiletries, rucksacks, bags
As a charity we are reliant on grant funding and generous monetary donations. If you would prefer to donate money to Chiltern Toy Bank please head to our PayPal page or our JustGiving link where you will be able to donate directly to us.
